YEAR 4 Viking Day
RE: Viking Day: Tuesday 5th October 2021
This year, Year 4 pupils will have the exciting opportunity to become Vikings for the day on Tuesday 5th October.
Actors from the Rainbow Theatre will be running a Viking workshop with the children. They will be re-enacting a story of two shipwrecked Vikings who storm a monastery. The children will experience many aspects of Viking life (shipbuilding, voyages, early parliament and Viking burial) and then must choose whether they stay on their quiet island or become a Viking.
In order to cover the cost of having the Rainbow Theatre in school, we are asking for a voluntary contribution of £5.90 per pupil. We will be taking all payments via ‘ParentPay’, our online system.
If you are not yet set up with a ParentPay account, please contact Miss Welburn via the school office who will be able to provide you with an activation login.
The visit will become LIVE for contributions to be added by 9am tomorrow and you will receive a notification email. No cash payments will be accepted.
We are very grateful for the support that we receive from parents and carers.
The deadline for this payment is 9am on Friday 24th September. Unfortunately, if we do not receive enough donations, the visit will not be able to go ahead. If the Rainbow Theatre is cancelled, your contribution will be refunded.
Children can come into school dressed up in Viking clothing if they wish.
