YEAR 6 VE Day Party!
End of Project Celebration on Wednesday 20th May 2026
Year 6 have done some wonderful learning as part of their Britain at War project this term. To celebrate their hard work, we are going to have a VE Day party with music, dancing and food on Wednesday 20th May 2026.
We would like to invite all children to dress up as people from WWII. This can be a simple adaptation to their school uniform - there is no need to buy anything new. There are some ideas below. Children can wear their costume to school for the whole day. If you cannot find one, then their school uniform will do.
As part of the celebration, children will have the opportunity to help prepare a range of snacks and treats that they can then enjoy during our very own VE tea party. To cover the cost of this, we are asking for a £1 voluntary contribution per child. All contributions should be made through ParentPay by 9am on Friday 8th May 2026. We will of course take into account children’s specific dietary requirements and allergies.
